Our Mission: At the BHS Student Writing Center, we encourage student empowerment and strive to help students discover and expand their enthusiasm for the craft of writing. We are committed to helping fellow students at any stage of the writing process in a welcoming and collaborative space. At the Writing Center, students can develop their voice and skills while making connections among their peers. Using a student-centered and process-oriented approach, the Writing Center aims to help build and strengthen a writing community within Burlington High School.

“Who wants to become a writer? And why? Because it’s the answer to everything. … It’s the streaming reason for living. To note, to pin down, to build up, to create, to be astonished at nothing, to cherish the oddities, to let nothing go down the drain, to make something, to make a great flower out of life, even if it’s a cactus.”
