Georgia Doherty

Georgia is excited to be a Writing Fellow this year, working on the Events Team. She is a competitive dancer and co-president of the Photography Club. During her free time, Georgia enjoys watching movies, reading books, and listening to music! Something that many people may not know is that her favorite movie is The Shining. Georgia took AP Lang and AP World History her junior year and can offer help with creative writing, English assignments, and history writing assignments.

Allison Travers

Ally is a member of the Writing Fellows Community Outreach Team. She loves learning, especially English and science. In fact, Ally plans on majoring in nursing at Saint Anselm’s College. She enjoys the outdoors, adventure, and trying new things! Ally also has a strong work ethic, is very outgoing, and is not afraid of a challenge. A fun fact about her is that she can only ice skate backwards and is absolutely terrified of birds! When it comes to writing, Ally loves creative writing, but she also finds academic writing very satisfying, especially the feeling you get when you work hard on a paper and get a good grade.

Ella is a member of the Writing Fellows Community Outreach team, and a fun fact about her is that she loves to bike ride! Writing has always been a passion of hers. Helping others build their own passion for writing is a very special endeavor to her as well. From poetry to narratives, she will work with you to build writing skills session by session.

Inesh enjoys running as a part of the cross country and track team. He is a leader in the medical careers club, the science club, the programming club, and NHS. His favorite subjects include biology, chemistry, and calculus; he is also interested in the medical field. He has taken AP World History and AP Language and Composition, so he can help you with all types of writing ranging from DBQs to creative writing. He also enjoys tutoring as a member of the peer tutoring club and homework helper. His favorite childhood book is the Magic Tree House. He likes to write creative short stories and poems! He is apart of the Schedules and Operations Team!

Alexiah Leguisamon
Grade: 12
Alexiah Leguisamon enjoys working out, streetwear fashion and shoes, and hanging out with friends and family. A fun fact about her is that she was a competitive gymnast for ten years and now volunteers her time coaching younger gymnasts. Her favorite type of writing is analytical, but she is working toward expanding her creative writing skills and could definitely help! Alexiah is on the community outreach team and is in charge of the Writing Fellows Instagram account.

Cooper plays soccer in the fall, snowboards in the winter and is a Stage Manager for BHS Stage Crew. A fun fact about Cooper is that his favorite juice is cranberry juice. Luke is a practical, if not pragmatic, person who thrives in the brainstorming and writing stages of the writing process. Luke is also a member of the Writing Fellows Events team. Some fun facts about Luke are that he knows a lot of random facts, is interested in history, and enjoys reading classics by authors such as Alexander Pope! He enjoys writing personal narratives and argument essays.

Jon is very involved in the school as a multi-season athlete who loves to help others grow! He is also a member of the Writing Fellows Events Team. Something most people do not know about Jon is that he was not born in America, and actually only came here when he was a child, after living in multiple countries. He is passionate about writing and is willing to help everyone and everyone flourish as writers and help reduce any stress or fear! Jon especially loves creative writing, persuasive and analytical essays, and can help with lab reports! He is available before and after school, during Period 5, and during Period 7 on a Day 2 rotation.

Katie is a member of the hockey and softball teams and the Writing Fellows Facilities Team! Mary Kate also enjoys baking, watching movies, and watching TV; her favorite show is One Tree Hill. Some fun facts about her are that she can (sort of!) play the guitar, ukulele, and piano. She likes creative writing!

Megan Ohol is a senior at Burlington High School. She is president of the National Honors Society, a vice president of DECA, a member of Peer Tutors, and participates in a book club with her friends. She excels in both math and science but has equally loved all of her history and English classes throughout her time at BHS. Megan enjoys giving back to her community through volunteering at different Burlington-based organizations and running the Middle School Advisory Program. Outside of school, she enjoys painting, reading, watching Modern Family, and spending time with her dog. Her favorite ice cream flavor is cookie dough, she loves collecting seashells from all of the places she has traveled to, and rereads the Nancy Drew and Harry Potter series whenever she can't find a good book to read. Megan loves creative and argumentative writing.

Jack, loves to snowboard and participates in three seasons of sports. Specifically XC, Winter Track, and Spring Track. He enjoy's hanging out with friends and volunteering. The classes he enjoy the most are my English and Computer science classes. He really appreciate the ability to tutor others and help everyone become better writers.

Julianne is a senior. She plays field hockey, tennis, and figure skates. Julianne loves the outdoors, but also gets lost in the adventure of cities. Also she collects rocks and crystals from places she goes. Julianne likes to write dark scary stories because I love to build suspense. She also prefers to write poetry as Julianne likes how poets focus more on the flow and rhythm then the practical straightforward approaches. She has period 2 availability and is part of the events team.
